News as I like it - 1

To add to the latest craze of changing the names of popular places.
One should say Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S.Raja Shekar Reddy has reached to the new heights.

Now, as he ran out of the places and schemes he can name after "Indira" and "Rajiv" as part of his buttering High-command (Sonia) skills , he has named his buffalo as "Rajiv" and pet dog as "Indira". Here after they should not be called as "buffalo" or "Dunnapotu" but to be referred with their respective names that is "Rajiv" and "Indira". G.O. for the same has been issued by YSR government.

NEWS Original: Andhra Pradesh government issued a GO to change the name of the Aisa's biggest colony "Kukkatpally Housing Board" to "Rajiv Housing Board colony".

Happy Birth Day India

It's the day of the year when the patriotic fever, shall I say flu, peaks across the country , now across the world as you can find Indians all over the world. Is it just about sending mail with tri-colured message and rubbing of the hands or just think it as one of those privileged holidays where you can happily sleep till noon.

On this 60th anniversary of Indian Independence, if we look back at the sorry state of our cities with crumbling infrastructure reminds me of my colleague statment as I quote , "Indian cities are not even planning as much as that of Singapore has planned for the underground ".

Probably this is the time for governments to start focusing on basics like education and health care and as citizens stop blaming the government for all the ills as we are 100% responsible for bringing them up there by not participating in voting. Even If participated, voting based on caste , relegion, language and teritory.

As rightly said by Mahatma Gandhi, 'Be the change that you want to see in the world'. Start changing ourselves to the India , out dream India. I wish one day in the near future we celebrate the birth day of India as happily as we celebrate our family functions.

I know what my sister will say after reading the blog, as I quote, "It's very easy to say all these things and make suggestions sitting on the other side of the globe". But sis, we still care a lot, probably more than those who are in India, as we know it's value after coming outside. :)

Incidentally today, two lucky people who are very close to me share their Birth Day with India's Birth day: Souji and Sandhya. I wish both of them a very very happy birthday too.
